Why Aditya Birla is big to my life: Aditya Birla is one of the leading business conglomerates in India and is a fortune 500 company. The way it expanded itself from the cotton industry in 1857 to current state with its footprint with 38 companies spread in various industries like cement, fashion, telecom, IT, heavy metals and other sectors inspired me a lot. It has above 12000 employees working in 34 countries. It is one of the best places to work certified by great places to work. It provides best in class opportunities for its employees to grow along with the company. There is not a single day where a person in India does not use Aditya Birla product. It also has actively contributed to the society with its various CSR initiatives in the areas of education child welfare, health care and women empowerment in the countries like India, Philippines, Thailand, Indonesia, Egypt, Korea, and Brazil. It reaches out annually to 7.5 million people through the Aditya Birla Centre for Community Initiatives and Rural Development initiatives in 5,000 villages around the world. It also runs 56 schools which provide quality education to 46,500 children of these 18,000 students belong to the underprivileged segment and scholarships are also provided to these students. If I get a privilege of working in Aditya Birla group I would be very happy working for such an esteemed and ethical organization. How I overcame challenges to achieve ambitions so far Being brought up and studied in different regions, I was adaptable to the frequent changes in my curriculum and friend circle. I was easily able to fit in the groove and adapt to adverse conditions during my graduation and working days and mingle with the people and I think it’s the one of the major qualities required for being a manager who positively influences people through is . I always used to have a fear of examinations and results during my schooling and graduation days. I tried to overcome it by constant practice and smart work. I did an analysis on my way of preparation and working and improved myself on the way of doing things and inculcated the habit of thinking out of the box. After the results of my CAT 2016, I was very depressed as I was just short of cut-off in the logical section and failed to secure admission into premier B schools all over India. That was the turning point in my life as it changed my thinking and perception towards life. Now the fear of failure was gone and I began to enjoy the process of the curriculum rather than focusing on my results. It had brought a change in my attitude and a sense of calmness in me. In a way, the failure of the CAT exam was a blessing in disguise as it helped me to sort out the preferences of my life. The moment you put away your fear and thoughts which pull you back in your life, your performance and growth increases progressively.
