How B-School Competitions Prepare You For Real-Life Business?

B-school Competitions and Events demonstrate real-life business issues faced by management. In addition to that, it helps in the application and understanding of the concepts which you learn in a B-school. Thus, when you take up any competition, you are not just learning the fundamentals but reasoning and contemplating in the shoes of a manager, trying to address and resolve an issue.

Having said that, a host of such competitions is organized at KJ Somaiya Institute of Studies and Research, SIMSR that would include case writing competitions at multi-stage levels and various rounds of presentation, review, and feedback. Amidst the round the clock and frantic schedule of the MBA life, KJ SIMSR hosted SPRIHA - an inter-collegiate summer internship competition, where students could showcase their meticulous presentation skills and their experience at their summer internships, where top B-schools across India competed against each other displaying sheer excellence and commitment.

An Intra collegiate event held at K J SIMSR focused on the sales pitch to help students learn to market products. The Pitchers 2.0 helped students explore their creativity and aided them to demonstrate regular products innovatively. The Pitchers 2.0 successfully set a new benchmark in showcasing the acumen of buddying SIMSRites.

How does a sponge survive? Heartless, brainless, without muscle, yet breathing life, not just surviving, but thriving in the ocean. The answer is that it absorbs and keeps absorbing. Who knew that the simple thought would someday translate into a framework for leadership lessons?

To keep things in perspective, here is some context. The Bigwigs Speak is a series of guest lectures organized by the students of SIMSR. It hosts industrial experts on campus where they share their experiences and learnings with the students in interactive sessions.

SIMSR has surely given all its students the opportunity to learn lessons that will stay with them throughout their lives.
