It helped people especially middle-income group to make, invest, manage risks, step out of poverty and build a better life. Aditya Birla Group has been a significant part of my life which I hope will create value that transcends generations.
The challenges in my life started when I was shifted from vernacular medium school to an English medium school. Since being from a different world compared to others, I felt isolated. It was my parents’ encouragement which helped me push my boundaries. This new environment and culture made a huge impact on shaping my characteristics and career for the future. Like everyone, I was elated to join my first job right after my graduation. Being a hard worker, I received the best performer award which persuaded my department Director to select me for an Automation project. Being the youngest in the project and without hands-on experience in automation tools, I was completely helpless. But the belief my Manager had in me, encouraged to burn the midnight oil and learn the requisite tools in a short period.
It is during this project work, I realized I needed a grounding in management education. I then started to prepare for the CAT examination. I decided to prepare for the exam simultaneously with the job. Since being in a critical role requires me to dedicate more time at the office, I got less than 2 hours to study daily. I was bogged down when I saw the results of the first few mock tests. But my family stood by me during my hard times and motivated me to fly higher. With great perseverance, I cleared multiple levels of test and joined this prestigious institute. This exciting experience inspired me to take up more challenging roles in the future.
