Since the early days of my life, when I used to visit my village I used to see many underprivileged children who were deprived of education. This deprivation was mainly due to their parent’s low income and because of this, their parents used to work at different places making it difficult to admit their children to any single school. I always found it difficult to digest of not being in a position to help such kids.
When I entered my undergrad college, I used to see children of construction workers daily inside my college, which were again in no position to get any sort of education even after being inside a college premise. The idea of helping them sparked again, I along with my friends presented before the college authorities to open a club where along with the help of student strength we could provide education to such children. I succeeded in getting the approval and stepped in the process of realizing the one thing I always dreamt of.
After getting the approval of running such a club in the college we started giving basic education to underprivileged children in and around the college. We also provided basic education to parents so that making them more aware of the importance of education in one’s life. We successfully were able to get admission of many such children into the schools with government aid.
If I look back this particular case I realize that the challenge was always inside me, to go out, to connect to people, to make them understand what you feel, to make them realize the importance of education, to be the change you want to see in the society.
