"Internship is a monster of its own"

That’s what our seniors used to tell and the perception made about the whole two months of internship. Capgemini E.L.I.T.E. program redefined this definition. A program which is a perfect blend of work and fun, a time everyone would cherish for the days to come.

It all started with the induction week where we got to meet and interact with many senior leaders and to understand their view about the program. The case solving workshop and the sessions on banking and insurance, everything provided us with the flavor of what to expect during the coming weeks of internship. We were slowly inducted to the real internship life.

During the eight weeks of internship, I majorly worked on the RFPs for Temenos based connected banking solution and the product solutions offered by Capgemini. The project was to study about selected major banks to put together a detailed secondary research to understand the interest areas of the banks. This will enable the sales team to map the solutions with the focus areas of the banks and pitch these solutions to them. The project covered UK-Continental Europe, US-NA areas. This helped me to gather better knowledge about the banking industry and the current trends. How the legacy banks can be relevant in the changing landscape and how the new generation banks can be the banks of the future. Open banking is the way to the future and understanding the concepts and technology regarding the same was one of the biggest value add.

The best thing about Capgemini is the open and supportive culture. We were given the freedom to reach out to anyone at any point of time and the seniors were really helpful throughout the program. They are ready to help anytime and provide with inputs. There were biweekly knowledge sharing session where each one will pick one topic, and share the ideas and knowledge that they have on the topic. This was really helpful to get a general idea about the projects that others are working on and to gather more knowledge on new technologies.

In Capgemini, work and fun goes hand in hand. We used to have number of on-floor fun activities which helps the whole batch to interact more and make a good connect with everyone. Capgemini gives great importance to the CSR activities also. We had a chance to visit the Sarthak educational trust and interact with the enthusiastic youngsters there.

The E.L.I.T.E. internship program was a perfect mixture of work, responsibility and fun, which actually changed the mindset about internship, by really good planning and execution.

I am looking forward to join the team as a full time E.L.I.T.E and I have no doubt that it would be a challenging and wonderful experience. The variety of projects and roles the E.L.I.T.E team handles are really impressive. From Banking to Packaging and Processing, from Insurance to RPA, the requirements are so varied which makes it more interesting. I am thrilled to get back with the team and to explore the possibilities!
