Why Aditya Birla Group is Big in My life? In my case, the question should be how big Aditya Birla group is in my life. Be it my first SIM connection which I am still using or my favourite apparel brand or business formal or even the cement used in the construction of my sweet home, I have been using the products of Aditya Birla Group in all the crucial and important situations of my life. And why not? It’s brand value and the reasonable price range of the products makes it unique and unmatchable as compared to its competitors in every business domain. It has created an impactful mark in the present day business scenario due to its global presence and improving the lives of people because of its innovative and disruptive business ideas. Now, coming to my story again, when I was leaving my home for the first time to join a JEE Coaching centre in the big city of my state Assam, I took an Idea SIM with me because of its uninterrupted services in the hilly terrains of North-Eastern India and it never failed me. It introduced 3G services in my region way before any other Internet Service Provider. It came as a blessing for the student like us who were studying in North-Eastern states in those days. During the construction of my house, I chose Ultratech Cement. Being a Civil Engineer, I know now that we took the right decision then. During that time, some other good quality cement brand was suggested to us by the construction workers. But, who wouldn’t go for the best cement as we are constructing it for a lifetime? It has been 10 years now and it still stands tall graciously. During my graduation days I was worried about my placement interviews. That included the formals to wear as nicely tailored clothes can help in increasing one’s confidence. When I went to a store to buy formals I found that there were clothes of every renowned brand. After trying many clothes, I decided to buy a Peter England cloth as it was comfortable, well-tailored and perfect fit for my size. Since then, I am using Peter England formals for every major professional event that has happened in my life including b-school interviews this year. Now, I can’t think of any interview which I have given without wearing formals of Peter England. That is how big impact Aditya Birla Group has made in my life and is continuously doing so. How did I overcome challenges to achieve your ambitions in life so far? Life has never been easy for me till now. Being born in a very small border-town of Assam and having lost my father at a very tender age, I had to fight in every step to survive in this era of competition. After achieving some of the desired goals, I can say that if someone has requisite self-belief and he strives tirelessly and consistently, he will achieve whatever he wants. My first big challenge was a competition which could take me to the vicinity of the man I admire most, Bharat Ratna Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam. It was the winter of 2008. I came to know about the Competition called National Children’s Science Congress, where he used to address the students selected for national meet. I took it as a goal to get selected for national level so that I could meet Dr. Kalam. But, it was not an easy task, I had to cross the hurdles of District and State Level competitions. In addition to that, I had to overcome the challenges of resource crunch. It was an unfair battle between me and my dreams. But, due to my self-belief and sheer will, I could manage to get selected for National Level competition and finally met Dr. Kalam. I received State Child Scientist Award for that achievement. Later, during my JEE Main and CAT preparation, I had to face many challenges due to unfavourable circumstances. But, those fights were intrinsically different. During JEE, it was a fight to define myself; a fight of self-assurance that I also can achieve desired goals with right amount of positive outlook. But, in CAT, it was the fight of redemption; a battle of belief that it is possible to fight back even after getting cornered on the wall. In every step, I could manage to dodge those bullets due to my consistent and tireless efforts. But, it is just the beginning, many challenges are yet to come. Still, I believe that, with right attitude and perseverance, every challenges can be handled at ease. “If you can fill the unforgiving minute With sixty seconds’ worth of distance run, Yours is the Earth and everything that’s in it, And—which is more—you’ll be a Man, my son!” – Rudyard Kipling.
