Big Impact, Bigger Results - Learning how to rise above all from ABG - MDI Gurgaon

My story can be characterized by the powerful logo of the Aditya Birla Group. Rising steadily but with passion like the mighty ‘Aditya’ - the sun - and reaching new heights is what drives me. Also, having an impact on the people around me by leading and spreading my energy like the prism in the logo refracts the bright positivity all around. Last but not the least, the great sun might shine in reality as the lone light in dark space, but like the Aditya Birla Group logo, its vibrant energy spreads everywhere and is conscious about other entities, making others grow and flourish. I hope to inculcate this all-conquering yet impactful and consciously nourishing philosophy of the logo in my future endeavours just like it has been represented in my past.

Challenging situations and daunting tasks bring the best out of me. Just as the ABG has established itself as a leading business in numerous sectors, I strive to take on newer ventures and to leave a positive mark on the people I work with. This can be best showcased by instances from my life. In my undergraduate college, I took on every opportunity and was part of multiple societies, research projects and activities.

One occasion when I feel like I defied the odds and had an impact on others the most was during my sophomore year. The newly formed Enactus wing of our college had decided to organise a large scale youth conclave and I was tasked with leading a team to connect with companies to sponsor and partner with us for our event. With the team members having little or no experience, we couldn’t get companies to engage with our proposals at first. 

As the esteemed Chairman of the Aditya Birla Group, Mr. Kumar Mangalam Birla recently said, “Failure is not fatal, failure is inevitable. If you don’t fail, it perhaps means you aren’t taking enough risks”, me and my team took on this challenge even though it involved a high degree of risk. With the financing of the event riding on our shoulders, we managed to learn from our failed engagements and understood the process. Chasing the right leads and sharing new knowledge across the team, we finally managed to partner with a host of brands. 

From the reliability of the Ultratech Cement that my house is built on, to the tasteful choices in fashion that Pantaloons has offered me over the years, The Aditya Birla Group, just like its far reaching impact in the industry and workings of the world has been unquestionably an ever-present part of my life. Their high standards of products and services touch almost everyone due to their mammoth presence, but for me personally as someone passionate about business from very early on and now an actual business student, the Aditya Birla Group has impacted me most not through their awesome products in my daily use but their business practices as a large conglomerate, establishing a dominating presence over industries while placing ethics, values and sustainability in the highest regard. 

As I conveyed through my story above, from the logo of the group to it’s advances in the industry, the entire business is an inspiration. Excellent products and excellent customer service shows a respect for standards of quality and high level precision in work that every business student must learn from. 

Aditya Birla Group’s impact on my story and helping me defy all odds cannot be overstated. It has an all encompassing presence, motivating me to grow and shine brightly like the powerful sun.
