Why Aditya Birla Group is big in your life ? If you question yourself, what is the most precious thing in life, the answer would be memories. It makes life worth living, gives you endurance to swim through rough waters and in happy times stand by you. Thinking back, through my childhood to teenage till my twenties Aditya Birla Group has been in the background of all my major events. When I first entered a structured home, it was made of M P Birla Cement. Each and every corner of that house will always remain with me and whatever went in to create my HOME will be special. When I first travelled to a different place, it was by train. The first train journey is always memorable as you are fascinated by the world which passes by. I realize that Birla Copper Limited is the leading copper supplier for Indian Railways. When I grew up and was in junior school, my dad bought our first car. I used to sit on the first seat and force dad to teach me how to drive, instead he took me for long drives and we ate street food sans the knowledge of my mother. Had the tyres not been so durable, we would not have a pleasant outing. For this I must credit Birla Carbon to help us have some fun. When I went to senior secondary school, I got my first smart phone. I still remember the day vividly. That phone lasted for 3.5 years, thanks to the strong body which was Hindalco Limited product. When I first moved out of my city, I was connected with my family members via Idea, whose network was Pan India. The day I got my first salary, I wanted to gift something to my parents and bought Van Heusen Tie and Ladies Footwear of People. I can still feel the smile on their faces. Going forward I would like to work for the company which has filled my life with so much happiness and memories.

How you overcame challenges to achieve your ambitions in life so far ? During my work tenure, I wanted the company to register itself as a seller on the E-Commerce platform - Myntra. I had a discussion with the heads and seniors of the company but they were very reluctant, citing reasons of high commission and loosing exclusivity of its own website. I had difficulty in understanding this stand of theirs and thus studied and created a database of different brands that were in a similar position as ours and produced them in front of the heads. I also studied the brands that were currently listed and tried to get in touch with them so that I could get some more information which would help me in taking an informed decision and would convince the heads. Though they weren’t very convinced, and irritated by my continuous push for it, they gave me three months trial period within which they wanted results. I had to work with limited resources which kept me on my feet. Along with it, I had my normal duties to fulfill. I feared that failing in this task would lead to a bad image and subsequently would not get a free hand in executing activities that I had wanted to. Though the odds were against, I kept persevering. Eventually the results too followed. I learned that believing and persevering goes hand in hand. To give it all in something you believe and strive for the results that drive you to be the best. The challenge was not just to ensure results but also to ensure that the management has faith in me. Subsequently once the confidence of the management grew, I was handed over the online sales department. #NMIMSMumbai #ABGLPWooMe
