My journey so far in IIM Indore has been full of ups and downs. There have been days where I have created fun-filled memories with friends and also times where the cutthroat competition to beat the rat race has exhausted me. But the one thing which IIM Indore has taught me is to “Never Give Up”. There have been many instances in IIM Indore which I think I will cherish forever. Once such instance has been the last day of PGP-1 (First Year).
That day marked the end of an eventful year. We all started feeling nostalgic about our 1st year classroom particularly our seating arrangements which gave us friends for a lifetime. Even the boring lectures were fun to attend with these crazy bench partners. Their lame jokes, comment after everyone’s class participation, and talent to make every lecture happening was something I am definitely going to miss from that day onwards. The feeling of being in a section for a year was different. It was like a deep bond which everyone had developed with their section mates.
Second year will have classes on elective basis. These familiar faces I won’t be able to see that often. But the memories of sectionhood will always remain with me. This is the section pic which we took on last day of PGP 1.
Which ABG company would you want to work for and why?
If given a chance, I would love to work with Aditya Birla Fashion and Retail Limited. I believe brands like Van Heusen, Allen Solly, Louis Philippe has completely revolutionized work clothing in India. Pantaloon and People retail stores has become favourite pocket friendly stores for Indian youth. But still ABFRL has a lot of scope in India which is untapped by them and is being captured by foreign brands in the premium segment like ZARA, Mango and in mass segment Forever21, H& M. Having a good sense of fashion, creative thinking and management skills, I believe ABRFL is the right fit for me.
