Break Your Shackles#IIM TrichyOne thing that I’ve learned in life is the concept of subjectivity, each has his own set of battles that he fights. As written by Aerosmith “Dream on Dream on Dream on Dream until your dreams come true” Something we need to learn is the fact that life shots you down a million times but the ones who rise above it all are the only people worthy of living.I have always had a soft corner for sports in my heart because of which I became a sportsperson. I started playing badminton at the age of 11 and quickly rose to the national level in U-13 and U-15 age groups but had to withdraw from the sport due to a ligament injury. As any sports guy, I was broken that I couldn’t continue the game but then I remembered my love for sports and started playing chess and consistent hard work made me into an internationally rated chess player but that also didn’t come easy, like any other thing in life. For 5 years I had won the gold medal in KVS regional sports meet for Hyderabad region. For the first three years in the National sports meet I couldn’t even come in the top five spots which took a toll on my confidence but I never gave up and in the next two subsequent years I won gold and silver medal consecutively and represented in School games federation of India meet after which there was no stopping me. I achieved a lot of medals at international chess tournaments. I’d say those 5 years taught me a lifetime of experience which I’ll cherish for life.
