It was not until the early half of 2018 when I saw Aditya Birla group’s ‘big man’ advertisement, that I realised the expanse of Aditya Birla Group’s footprint. The advertisement displayed the company's sheer diversity of undertakings under the ABG umbrella- from infrastructure to fashion to telecom.
And that is when I tried to relate the advertisement to my own life. There’s UltraTech cement which my parents chose to construct our home, the Vodafone Idea service I used to access internet, the cover glass on my smartphone and more! ABG was with me in the Louis Philippe crested suit I wore for my B-School interviews. The Aditya Birla group has always ensured quality and has made no compromise when it comes to offering value to the end user.
I’ve been around for quarter of a century, but ABG has been around since the time of the first war of Indian Independence! More than the impact at microscopic level, the contributions made by Aditya Birla to India is remarkable. Right from its contribution to the railways and mining, up until its corporate social responsibility initiatives, the Aditya Birla Group has had a huge hand.
I was pleasantly surprised to know that the UltraTech cement used to construct my home was the same cement used to construct the massive Bandra Worli sea link. I can conclude by saying that just like the sea link that bridges different locations on the map of Mumbai, ABG has also been bridging the different strata of Indian society.
