Aditya Birla Group or ABG is a US $44.3 billion corporation that has been synonymous with the rapid development in India. They have been operating for over seven decades and have an extraordinary workforce of over 120,000 employees belonging to 42 nationalities. A global powerhouse with a wide range of sectors, over 50% of Group revenues flow from overseas operations that span 35 countries in North and South America, Africa and Asia. With fast paced lives becoming the new norm, we hardly have the time to stop and notice the brands that we associate ourselves with on a daily basis. However, on closer inspection, we will notice that several of the brands that we use, come under the Aditya Birla Group. After all, they are omnipresent in today’s market. The group has interests in viscose, staple fiber, metals, cement (largest in India), viscose filament yarn, branded apparel, carbonblack, chemicals, fertilizers, insulators, financial services, telecom, BPO and IT services. It is highly unlikely that one has never used a product or travelled on a road or visited a site where ABG has not contributed in some way. Aditya Birla Fashion and Retail Limited (ABFRL) is India’s first billion-dollar pure play fashion powerhouse. With over 11,000 points of sale, across 750+ towns, 4900+ multi--brand outlets and 4000+ department stores across the country, it is hard to miss. With outlets ranging from Pantaloons to Peter England, it makes sure that every customer’s needs are looked after. The ABG group is not only known for it’s products and services, but also for the values that they inculcate within their brands. UltraTech Cement, the largest cement producer in India, is fully aligned to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals. The Group’s CSR vision “To actively contribute to the social and economic development of the communities in which we operate. In doing so build a better, sustainable way of life for the weaker sections of society, to contribute effectively towards inclusive growth and raise the country’s human development index shows that the group wants to move forward by co creating value for business and the society. ABG has been an indispensable part of my life. Every time I enter a mall, I am bombarded with a thousand brands all at once. Pantaloons is my preferred stop as it is the perfect one stop destination for all major brands. It saves my time as well as provides me with the best deals that I otherwise would’ve missed out on. ABG has also bought many international brands to India and made it possible for us to truly feel like a global citizen.   Most importantly, ABG has been such an important part of my life due to it’s resonating values of sustainability and giving back to the society. The awareness that your hard earned money is going to conglomerates with such values leads to higher customer satisfaction.
