Well, some say or rather question, what is life without challenges ? Well the other school of thought that also includes me base our understanding on the line that challenges is the real and true definition of life.
On a careful analysis of the events that happen in one’s life since birth could also be termed as challenges at some point or the other. Since once starts his primary schooling, the very initial stages of challenges faced are exams, exams and a lot of exams. Once done with schooling comes the next round of hurdles to clear paving way to the college of your choice. These above mentioned obstacles are just few drops or some of the noticeable ones from the massive ocean of challenges that one faces in his/her lifetime.
However, the pivotal point that lies here is the lens through which one views hurdles and the strategies one devises to overcome them. Through my personal point of understanding and experience, the two crucial elements one must have in place are the ability to analyse and secondly the determination to overcome.
These two elements have played a crucial role in my understanding and overcoming of challenges, I have faced till date. The biggest of challenges I have faced till date has to be my entry into the esteemed Symbiosis Center for Management and Human Resource Development.
In my life that spans over 22 years as of today, securing admission into an MBA school of my choice was the best of hurdles I have ever crossed. Over the past two years, since my under-graduation and work-experience of over two years, my passion was drawn towards more of people management, understanding their psychology, their thinking, their pattern of though and various other parameters. All of these lead to me being driven to the diverse field of Human Resource.
Once my mental pitch was set, it was now time to shortlist a series of colleges that offer the discipline of HR. The next step and the most important in my case was the location as to where would I be then placed geographically, knowing my mental school of thought and my tendency to get homesick, it would be preferred if the college of my choice was close to home- Pune.
SCMHRD Pune, being one of the finest in the country for HR climbed up the ranks the quickest. Once observed, the ‘challenge’ dint really end, In fact this was just the beginning.
As every other SCMHRD aspirant, I too viewed all the consequent steps to the admissions as a set of challenges and hurdles to be crossed, however understanding the learning curve attached to each of these challenges, the first of them being the clearance of the SNAP exam, and the immense amount of preparation it ever took.
The next happened to be the arrangement and assortment of various documents, and to be honest about it, this has to be one of the major hurdle one faces for the simple reason that all of it is time-bound, failing to which one could actually lose the seat despite all the studying that went into the entrance exam.
As mentioned earlier, through an exact estimate of understanding and determination, I was successful in securing the admission in the college of my choice on March 28, and hence I write a story of how I overcame the biggest hurdle till date to achieve an absolute target being a well-equipped professional.
