PART B
I have faced some significant challenges in both, my personal and academic life. There were times when I didn’t know how I was going to make it through, but I pushed forward and came out to be better than I was before.
Coming from a management studies background, with limited exposure to mathematics & analytical skills, clearing entrance exams were a big challenge for me. During the same time, stress at work took a
toll on my productivity and health. Working and studying for entrance exams was a tough challenge. But I never gave up. I made the decision to push through the challenges in my life, working hard every single
day.
First of all, I changed my job. Working in a frustrating environment would have not been a habitable place for fresh ideas to grow. My new job and a healthy work life balance, gave me some time to research, plan my activities and prepare check points to achieve my targets. I planned my examination approach accordingly. I worked on my strengths to attain maximum accuracy. Half an hour during the lunch break, travel time in trains, waking up a little early and burning the mid night oil along with positivity and determination, is all what it took for me to get into one of the best B-schools in India.
One thing and the most important thing which I learnt during my journey to SIMSREE, is “Self – Analysis”, which I rarely ever did and paid attention to. Not only did it help me score well in exams but it also helped me grow as a person.
I now believe that every challenge one faces in life is not a milestone achieved, but a stepping stone to
success.
