There were many challenges I faced in life so far. From making friends in school to what career path to choose. The things I learnt by facing all these challenges is to always work hard, be honest with yourself, always think positive, be consistent and make a commitment and dedicate yourself fully towards it. The biggest barrier in achieving success is often ourselves and those around us. Overcoming this first barrier and identifying your challenge is the first step on our road to success.
I can share one incident which happened last year in job where I overcame a challenge. One of our clients announced merger with another company which was client of our competitor. To retain the existing client and getting a new client, our senior management decided to pitch for other merging organizations as well. For that we needed to make all the data analyses and recommendations for the two companies combined within very short period. I was given the responsibility and made lead on the project in team of three. It was a tough task as well as good opportunity for me to show my skills. This was a challenge for all of us as big client was involved and data was very heavy and time was short. We used our experiences, worked really hard and with perfect team co-ordination, we completed the project. I quality checked all the reports, and then we presented to our consulting manager. He got really impressed with our work. We all received numerous accolades from leadership team. This project was much significant in my career as I got my first promotion from the dedication shown and quality of work.
Although, the duration of project was very short, but I learnt various things. It taught me how to handle the pressure situations, prioritisation of work as per requirements, team building and time management.
