There comes a turning point in everyone’s life which makes them understand their strengths and weakness. Having worked in an IT firm for 2 years, I realized, I have lot more potential than what I was doing then. Then began my thirst for MBA and finally landed in India’s one of the premier Institute XIMB.
It was indeed not an easy decision for me getting into XIMB leaving my job. It all started with collecting information, insights of the XIMB about their culture, events held, various student-driven committees. After writing down all the pros and cons, I finally chose XIMB.
Finally, the D-day came when I was decked up for the starting of a new journey. I was excited and at the same time was bit nervous. From the very first day, we all were juggling with the assignments and meanwhile, a wide chain of networking happened among us.
Having spent 2 weeks on the campus, I have seen that XIMB is an ideal blend of academics and extracurriculars. Some of the popular and highlighted words here at XIMB are Deadline, X-Walk, Viva, X-Cafe. There are a plethora of opportunities to show your skill and talent. One thing I have definitely learned is in order to experience every titbit of campus life, one should value time more than anything. Here, the Icing on the cake is the senior-junior bonding where seniors are anytime ready to help us in every way possible starting from academic queries, ppt presentations, case study analysis to even motivating us. Starting from celebrating midnight birthday parties of our batch mates to feeling scared of opening the mailbox apprehensive of getting an assignment, from greeted with “No attendance” due to half a minute delay to a lecture to a dreadful notification of mandatory meet in the evening, everything has its own charm.
This complete amalgamation of handling stress, pressure, deadlines to enjoying cultural nights, celebrations, chit-chats with friends and seniors make my campus unique.
Which ABG company would you want to work for and why?
If given a choice, I would like to be a part of Aditya Birla Retail Limited(ABRL) which is the retail arm of Aditya Birla Group, a $43 billion corporation. I was carried away by the company’s motto ‘Quality 1st’. It has expanded its presence across the country under the brand ‘more’ which is the destination for FMCG products, fruits, vegetables, bakery, personal & home care, general merchandise available at attractive prices. Having such a huge product makes it more noticeable where customers can avail all the daily necessity commodity at a single store. Also, it has some awesome loyalty program that delivers unbeatable savings with the monthly purchases.
