I came to XIMB with a general perception, like that of any other college, of staff and other faculties managing the college and they being first point of contact. BUT NO!! I was totally wrong. XIMB is entirely student-driven, from college committees, placements, etc. to pulling off the annual fest ‘Xpressions’, everything is totally handled by students groups. From 1st day itself, we were assigned to contact our roll seniors, getting to know them, thus breaking the ice between seniors and juniors. After that we had several batch meets addressed by student-driven committees, making every student rush and reach on or before assigned time and with the attire. The first lesson learnt in college from seniors “Punctuality”, which I knew was going to help me in the upcoming corporate life.
Leadership talks, Conclaves, Alumni meets, Quizzes and other competitions, all these are organized by student driven committees, giving an essence and opportunity for students to grow and develop as future managers. To add the icing on the cake, XIMB gives you many surprises too. One of them was “Parichay 2018”, a surprise event where the seniors performed for juniors showcasing their talent and also welcoming them- dancing, singing, acting and shayris and all 5 star works.
Networking and connecting to the batch is not an easy task but after joining XIMB it seems a cake walk, where the environment, students, faculties and staff supports you to contact, communicate and network people through various activities and events. That’s all that makes XIMB unique with its students as main drivers behind every hustle.

Aditya Birla Finance Ltd (ABFL) is a major RBI registered financial services company in India offering end-to-end lending, financing and wealth management solutions to a diversified range of customers across the country and delivering a wide range of money solutions for protecting, investing, financing and advising. Being inclined towards field of Finance, as a fresher ABFL would be a place where my background and skills can be utilized and developed.
