Today we have Rahul Rana,a SNAP taker 2013, giving you a few tips on cracking the upcoming SNAP exam.
Ok, let’s start with a fact: SNAP is not that hard to crack! If you’ve given adequate time for CAT preparation, chances are you’ll easily be able to score above 90 percentile in SNAP. The trickiest part of SNAP comes after the 90
th percentile. If you are aiming for one of the top B-schools of the country, you would certainly want to be either in SIBM-Pune or SCMHRD. Both these colleges require above 98 percentile just to be shortlisted for the PI-WAT process.
So concentrating mainly on SNAP, there are some points which one should keep in mind while attempting the paper:
- Quantitative aptitude section is perhaps the most scoring section of the exam. Attempt this first. Some of the questions are really easy and would require a single look at the options to ascertain the correct answer.
- The GK section is perhaps the most difficult of the lot and needs to be attempted at the end. It requires less time as either you know the answer or you do not, simple as that.
- Reasoning and Verbal are moderately difficult and needs some amount of time. So, plan accordingly.
If you really want to reach those high percentiles, take some risks and attempt more number of questions. Attempting only the I-am-sure-of-the-answer questions will only get you that far!!
Cheers!!
