The Craziness Of IIM Udaipur - Sourabh Rathi

Introducing – some of our crazy classmates:

I, Sourabh Rathi, hail from Delhi, and joined IIM Udaipur, one of the fastest growing B-School in India, in June 2017. I’ve lived in a joint family and very well understand the sacrifices loved ones make for each other. In all this, the passion one has or dreamt of, often gets lost in the hustle and bustle of the life. But after coming to IIM Udaipur, I am glad to meet people who have taken their passion to the next level and dream of taking it forward, even after their MBA.

Jebanezer - Out of all the amazing people I have met so far in this journey, Jeba (The Nice Guy) is the most passionate one. He is passionate about Music and of all the instruments I’m aware of, he can play it all really well. He has pursued music since he was 10 years old and is the president of Octaves – The Music society of IIM Udaipur. And part from music, he actively takes part in as many campus activities as he can. He has been part of “Bubble” – a short film created by students of IIM Udaipur, which won the best cinematography award at Nirma University. Jeba has taught me how to enjoy every small moment of life and contribute to lives’ of others, in every way possible.

Digvijay – My friend Digvijay is another passionate kind. It took him 3 years, 3 jobs and 8 months of gap to realise that he’s extremely passionate about travelling and loves to create videos, so that he can Heal the world through the stories around the world. Joining IIMU was the biggest turning point of his life as he wanted to convert his passion into profession and there he was, opted for summer entrepreneurship programme (SEP), travelled for 2 months in Indonesia and Vietnam to make travel videos. The best part was – the institute sponsored his travels and showed faith in his media channel “2 Minute Escape” on Facebook. He garnered over 10,500 followers in just two months. He’s another fellow, who is inspiring people around the world to go follow his/her passion, without a second thought.

Gaurav Aggarwal – This guy is the Finance guy of the IIM Udaipur Community. He hails from Kolkata. He is CFA, CA final Aspirant, B.COM graduate from Kirorimal College, DU and has a rich investing in investments of about 9 years. He is one of the few students who is awarded for Director’s Merit Award.

Vaibhav Pareek – He stands out of the crowd in his own sense. He cracked National Defence Academy, SSL, SBI Bank PO, and UPSC CSE Mains Examination. After all of this he decided to go for an MBA and now is preparing for CFA to build a career in Investment Banking. According to him the preferences of a person changes with time; well something which can be seen from his profile.

Which ABG company would you want to work for and why?

I would like to work for Aditya Birla Capital. The basic motivation behind the same is that I have keen interest in investing and I have been investing since my graduation college. In total I have an experience of 4 years in investing. Given the Brand name of Aditya Birla Group it would be a wonderful opportunity for any budding Private Equity analyst to begin its career with Aditya Birla Capital.
