A formidable number of my formative years were spent on educating myself culturally. Coming from a culturally opulent town in the south of India, I was exposed to reading and singing from the age of four. Having a musical background in the family escalated my interest further in grasping the nuances of the traditional and complex Carnatic music. Besides, my interest in acting had taken me across various state-level and national-level competitions. This helped me develop a penchant towards understanding cultures and IIM Udaipur provided me the right platform to do so. Our campus is filled with so much rigour and excitement that every day feels like a cultural festival.
I believe that education is complete only when you are able to impart it to the community. One of my dreams in life is to be a professional singer and joining IIM Udaipur has certainly helped me by providing a platform for the same. The various competitions and cultural fests that are celebrated in grandeur at IIM Udaipur initiated my interest in joining the Cultural Committee which in turn, further enhanced my exposure to the variety of diverse cultures across nations. Being part of Cultural Committee helped me broaden my horizon and gave me the platform to interact with people from different industries and students from different nationalities thereby helping me improve my soft skills. Being an aspiring singer and fanatic literati, I have always gone by the maxim ‘test yourself regardless of the outcome’.
As a cultural enthusiast and an aspiring artist, I believe that the Student Exchange Program provided by IIM Udaipur would also help me understand the intricacies in the ideas and thinking of the student base of international universities. Also, as a future manager, I believe that it is important to get exposed to different surroundings and develop suitability in dealing with the same. Plus it is also in my humble opinion that stepping a foot out of the pedal while riding is a sign that you have mastered the bicycle.

I would like to work for Aditya Birla Group fashion sector. ‘Planet fashion’ has opened a new variety in men’s clothing and is the trending buzz now. ABG also hosts a unique set of collection in Louis Philippe, Peter England, Van Heusen and Allen Solly. These brands have made the men’s fashion more aspirational and simple. Being a fashion enthusiast, I have always followed closely the unique set of fashion trends and the simplicity in the clothing lines of Van Heusen and Allen Solly. It has transcended the image of men’s fashion from normal to aspirational and intriguing.
