IIM Rohtak – prestigious management institutes in the country, located at a place isolated from the noise and chaos of the busy city of Rohtak. It was the first new IIM to be established in 2009. The Indian Institute of Management, Rohtak has a great pool of permanent and visiting faculties, newly constructed infrastructure, culture and talents which sets itself apart from the other B-schools in India. However, with numerous prestigious B-schools in the country, one can only wonder and think about – what makes IIM Rohtak unique and one of its own kind?

“The roots of education are bitter, but the fruit is sweet” – IIM Rohtak is centered under the foundation of hard work bearing fruits in the form of success and creating global leaders in every segment of the world. A typical day in IIM Rohtak will make one realize that the institute stands for what it presents its image in India. Each and every part of the institute works towards a common goal – to create global leaders for the world that will finally give back to the society.
The present batch is composed 250 odd students with 250 more juniors joining this year with a gender diversity of 50% each – which is a great initiative by the Institute. We have people of various culture and region ranging from the fearless northerners to the charismatic southerners, from the naturalist north-easterners to the colourful western Indian folk. But deep down every IIM Rohtak student's heart beats at the same frequency.
Various activities to all types of festivals and traditions are a sight to the eye. IIM Rohtak celebrates festivals from all across the country, be it Holi, Onam, Diwali, Ganesh Chaturthi or Eid. Every person puts in their effort in making every occasion a success. Dandiya Raas and Matki Phod is pretty famous here in IIM Rohtak.
Various student driven clubs and committees are the living source of IIM Rohtak’s existence. From Marketing club (Marque) to social welfare clubs like SDP Cell to quizzing club, Inquizire – IIM Rohtak has it all to share knowledge or help the society to better uplift it. Mini Marathon is an annual flagship event that entertains to address a social cause and to spread awareness about it. TEDxIIMRohtak and Infusion is an annual cultural event of IIM Rohtak that tries to grab national importance and attention of various students of India. TEDxIIMRohtak is an event organized for the famous TEDx events where prominent and recognized guests are invited to deliver a talk focusing on a particular theme.
Which ABG company would you want to work for and why?
I would like to work for Aditya Birla Retail Limited. As it falls in the FMCG sector and deals with FMCG products and owns a lot of brands like More Megastore, More Quality 1st Supermarkets, Own Brands and Clubmore. Since I am a marketing student and retail is the biggest business in the world so it will be convenient for me to work in a domain where new strategies and frequent marketing campaigns are a must in order to cope up with the competition. Also, Since ABG is a $44 billion company so it itself is a prestigious and renown global organization.
