Dear Batch of 2022,
A.k.a the COVID Batch/the virtual batch/the online mba batch etc etc.
Must be acquainted with all these terms in the last two years and this (Long/short) mail is to congratulate you all on successfully completing one of the toughest MBA journeys for sure.
This mail is not coming unplanned and I was eagerly waiting for the day to see your batch victorious who are the true brave hearts to take that high risk decision to start MBA during 2020 when the VUCA world was literally true.
It started with this right
“Don’t join MBA until COVID is over”, “Online MBA is nothing”, “What will you learn in Virtual MBA”, “Peer learning will not be there”, “Student activities won’t be there to build you as a leader” etc etc.
Those who listened to them back then
Now each one of you should pat your back that you took that wise call to join this roller coaster ride with three waves of COVID with all types of restrictions and even might have fought with this shitty COVID in between but at the end each one of you is a true fighter who had defied all odds.
No matter what the CGPA might be or offer in hand or anything the Batch of 2022 definitely deserves all the praise for taking this call where the factor of uncertainty was higher than anything else. Our batch was thrown into this by force as no one knew if something like this would come up after one year where we knew how rigorous the first year is and that too on campus with the whole batch.Special praise to your batch for knowing the risks and challenges and still making it in fashion for sure with all odds against you even before joining the program. Batch of 2022 will itself be an additional point to mention in your future career when it comes to handling something new and challenging.
Yes. You people are awesome
Not to forget the tangible outcomes like placements which also look great, but intangible outcomes like resistance and perseverance to fight this situation will take you all to a next level. As a hybrid batch pass-out I know how difficult it is to coordinate online when you don't even know each other by face and how difficult it is to manage to convince your parents you need to stay awake till 2:00PM to complete the assignments and some club/committee work or some live projects.
Yes yes. Everyone is shocked seeing the amazing performance.
Donald McGannon said that “Leadership is an action, not a position” and it's true you people have definitely proved yourselves to be the true leader and this experience will take you all a long way.
Last but not the least there is a long way ahead in your career and be confident that you people will be able to make it big.
