The National Case Study Competition of MDI Gurgaon in association with Cognizant, aims to get the best minds of the country brainstorm on getting the solution for real-time industry problems. In today’s fast-paced, dynamic business scenario, there are many immediate issues being faced in the industry in different sectors. It provides a hands-on experience of solving real-life business problems and is a great tool for the business students to aid them in their quest for becoming effective business managers.

Such platforms help us connect with the industry through the live challenges and gives us opportunity with our peers in other b-schools" says Asmita, Coordinator of Cerebro. Last year, Cerebro was conducted successfully in association with Cognizant. With over 300 registrations from top B- schools across India, including XLRI, IIMs and FMS, we received our most enthusiastic response yet. Post an initial screening round, the top 6 teams from IIM K, MDI Gurgaon and IMT Ghaziabad were selected for the intense final round, conducted in the MDI campus.The Chief Guest and judge for the event was Mr. Rahul Handa - Director, Consulting, CBC. He currently leads CBC’s Program Management consulting business in Middle East and India. Joining him on the jury was Prof. Anand Sharma, an esteemed faculty in Finance at MDI. Prof. Sharma is the former Chair Professor ̧ Railway Finance at the Indian Institute of Management Bangalore. The winners of last year’s competition were the team Benchwarmers from IMT Ghaziabad followed by the runners-up "The Invincibles" from MDI Gurgaon. First prize was of Rs. 50,000 and the second prize was of Rs. 20,000.
With the aim to reach an even greater number of students and B schools, we increase the complexity of the competition by providing two separate case studies for each round. Based on the performance of the first round, top 5 teams will be shortlisted for the finals at MDI during Delphique 2014. Participants will get an opportunity to win cash prizes worth Rs 50,000 for the winners, and Rs 30,000 for the runners up. In addition, the participants would get to interact with experienced panelists from the corporate world. So take aim, and prove your mettle in the ultimate Case Study Challenge: Cerebro 4.0.
