This event marked the seventh edition of TEDxNMIMSBangalore and the theme of the event was “Demystifying Ethos” which attempted to demystify and decide the ethos and norms that have prevailed in every domain. The event hosted eminent personalities from various domains to talk about a wide range of subjects that were idea-focused and encouraged learning, so as to provoke conversations and make the audience think outside the boundaries which have come to define our society’s existence. The speakers at the event ranged from the famous theatre artist, Mr Prakash Belawadi. ; the CMO of United Breweries, Mr. Samar Singh Shekhawat; and Mr. Bharath Ramamrutham, one of India’s leading architectural photographer. The event was scheduled into three successive slots that consisted of three speakers each, the last segment had two speakers to conclude the event. The first slot began with a speaker from the art and culture area of expertise, Mrs.Parwati, a celebrated Indian folk dancer graced he stage with words and moves alike, what followed was a youth filled talk delivered by a spirited youth leader and activist Mr.Anirudh Belle who spoke on conformity and it's validity in public discourse, the first slot ended with the most celebrated talk of the event, Mr.Prakash Belawadi who was already a living legend shook the audience with his superb delivery and speech on identities and the ethos of our being. The second slot began after a light tea break and opened with Mr.Solanki, an entrepreneur giving a talk on innovation in education and lateral thinking in education. The next speaker was Mrs.Lodha, a socialite from Mumbai, who specialises in family and parental counselling, she spoke on parenting and how it was misunderstood to huge proportions in our society.
