Being an engineer the life is much different from what it was in IIT. Life at MDI is very fast moving. The first week is Induction week in which we get a lot of exposure from various industry people about their business. It was a time where we get only 3 to 4 hours of sleep which was a different experience for me.
After induction, there was first sports event Mandevian Premier League in which I participated it was a lot of fun. We as newcomers get to know each other. Life at MDI is about time management and prioritization because at times you will have multiple task to do at that time you have to prioritize your work and manage time accordingly. Networking is also very important for a mandevian we get to know people from various background and various industry experience.
To sum up life at MDI is about
PRIORITIZATION, TIME MANAGEMENT and
NETWROKING.
I wanted to pursue career in marketing. I would be extremely happy if I get an opportunity to work with Aditya Birla Group. Aditya Birla Group has variety of business Fashion and Retail, Chemical Sector, Jingwei Fibres, Cement etc. Aditya Birla Group values passion, encourages team work and follows a certain standard of professionalism all of which are inherent in me.
- If I get an opportunity to work with Aditya Birla Group I would like to join ADITYA BIRLA FASHION AND RETAIL LIMITED because I am interested in determining customer research and design new products which will give them satisfaction. I attracted towards this during my under graduation when I realise in production, planning and control course that without proper marketing strategy there is no use of all department internal to the company. They are the one who identifies the need of the customers according to which a particular product is designed and then after other departments like Purchase, Engineering, Production, Operations come into picture. So basically I wanted to know more about marketing as a subject after getting into the course I liked the concepts , then I decided to take project on my own under DR. J.K.NAYAK who is assistant professor at Department of Management Studies at IIT Roorkee to implement the concept which I had learnt during the course. My project was “Difference of Choices of especially abled and normal children”, basically we were focusing on clothing style. So with a little prior experience of consumer research in fashion and a young creative mind. I see myself best fit for Fashion and Retail Sector for Aditya Birla Group.
