To ensure diversity in classroom, IIM Kashipur included the diversity factor with a weight of 9 given to diversity in discipline and gender, out of the overall weightage of 60 for the admission process of PGP 2015-17 batch. 14% students are females and 10% are from non-engineering background. 17% students graduated from premier institutions like IITs, NITs and SRCC. Average work experience of 32 months in leading organizations like Fractal Analytics, Accenture, Bank of Baroda, Capgemini, Cognizant Technology Solutions, International Business Machines, Indian Railways, Infosys, Larsen and Turbo Ltd., MU Sigma Business Solutions Pvt. Ltd., National Mineral Development Corporation Ltd., Tata Advanced Systems, Tata Consultancy Services, Tata Motors, Tata Steel Limited and Wipro. The batch also has students with international stints in countries like USA, Canada, UK, Philippines and Mexico.
