“Be thankful for each new challenge because it will build your strength and character.”
I was very determined to get into a government sector, but my current job was a hindrance. Thus I quit my IT sector job and joined a manufacturing firm, it served me two purposes, it gave me a job in core sector and I had enough time in hand to prepare for my exams.
Initially it was a very satisfying period as I was easily balancing my studies and job. But this happiness was very short lived, I began to fail miserably in every other exam. It was very disturbing period for me as work conditions were turning hostile, being away from home, and deteriorating health.
Next year I appeared again for various exams including MBA’s, which gave me mixed results, but were not up to my expectations.
While my friends who continued their careers in corporate sector were scaling up leaps and bounds. I felt alone and devastated, all my hopes were shattered. I saw myself going down the rabbit hole and never be back.
But one day one of my close friend pushed me to start working out, I reluctantly joined the gym, but it turned out to be a total life changer for me.
As we know that “we don’t grow when things are easy; we grow when we face challenges.”
Every time I was hitting the gym, there was an adrenaline rush, which kept me afloat and motivated. I started to come out my negative zone. I started studying again, with motivation and vigor. Resulting in my success in various MBA exams and got through one of the prestigious B-school. Moreover, my health improved and I was able to reduce my body weight to 82 kgs from 92 kgs. Today I feel motivated, elated, and hungry for more.
