I had just finished my final year project and was very excited about starting my new job. But less did I know about the challenges waiting for me. I shifted to Pune soon after I left my graduation college. My office was a small interior design team of two senior architects, tow interns, an accountant apart from the boss. Soon after I joined one of the senior architects resigned and the other one was going to leave in a week. I started handling the ongoing projects as well as the new upcoming ones. The boss would come to office only two days a week as she was teaching at a college the remaining days. It was very challenging for a fresher to manage the situation. I took it up as an opportunity to test my skills and put my best at work. I was able to manage client meetings, site supervisions, design processes, vendor meetings all with help of organised planning and coordinating team work. I was appreciated for making responsible timely decisions and also for being able to guide and motivate my team.
