The Social, Entrepreneurship and Consulting Cell (SECC) of Symbiosis Institute of Business Management (SIBM), Pune is organizing the Entrepreneurship Summit 2015, the National level entrepreneurship summit and flagship event of the cell , on 7th & 8th August 2015 at the SIBM Pune Lavale Campus.
The Summit intends to provide a 360-degree perspective on Entrepreneurship with a host of exciting events which allows the participants to demonstrate their academic, business, social & fund raising skills over the course of the 2 days at the summit. This time the purview and reach of the Entrepreneurship Summit will be even bigger with luminaries from the world of entrepreneurship sharing their experiences and travails, in multitude of new events and panel discussions spread over two days of the summit.
E-Summit 2015 brings a new event called “
Udaan – The Pitch” in collaboration with
StartEZ, a Pune based startup. Udaan is a first of its kind national event where the top five business ideas, filtered based on their executive summaries, will be allowed to pitch in front of Investors to get their million dollar idea funded. Elite panel of investors, which includes, Ramesh Shah, Co-Chair Harvard Angel Network India, Mehul Shah, Founder AMS Investments, Anil Joshi, Founder Unicorn India Ventures and Darshan Doshi, Head of Digital Services, JumpShift Angel Investor are visiting the Lavale campus for the pitching sessions and a panel discussion. E-summit 2015 also provides a live entrepreneurial experience for the SIU students through
Symbihaat, an event where students can experience the thrill and excitement of running their own business and earning profit. The selling skills of the students are tested through
Jugaad – The Fund Raiser event, where students are provided with goods produced by local artisans and craftsmen and sent to the city to sell at higher prices. The proceeds from the same will be donated to an NGO, also promoting for a social cause.
DRIVE, a national level case study competition conducted by SECC in association with startup
CarIQ, gives the students an opportunity to solve a live problem. SECC in association with The Souled Store presents the
Audaci-Tee To Dream, a Tee-shirt design competition, which also allows the selected participants to promote and sell their design, where the winner gets an opportunity for a virtual internship at The Souled Store.
The summit encourages students in taking up entrepreneurial stints, and for the same reason brings high profile speakers and notable entrepreneurs to share their experience and interact with the students through ‘
Chat with Entrepreneurs’ event. Mr Milind Sharma, Co-Founder, Peppertap and Mr Paavan Nanda, Co-Founder, Zo-Rooms and Zostel are visiting the campus on 7
th August, to share their insights in this year’s edition. On the second day, Mr Satish Mandora, CEO, Square Circles and Mr John Kuruvila, MD, GenNext Ventures are talking on banishing the fear factor associated with starting up in ‘
Pride and Passion’ event. SECC is in collaboration with many startups and technology partners like Startez, CarIQ and The Souled Store for events and in association with TIE Pune and Just4us for promoting the event.
This is an exciting opportunity for budding entrepreneurs who are looking for funding, students who want to taste the feel of entrepreneurship and for people who have a million dollar idea and startup dreams. The event expects an audience of 2000 odd students from various colleges and few startups in and around Pune and Mumbai. The winners will take home exciting prize money for each event and live internships.
