We live in a world where technology has penetrated into every nook & corners and the most basic amenities like food, shelter and clothes is something more than just a necessity. Isn't the quality food the utmost choice of health conscious people or lavish homes a status symbol or latest trends in fashion the dire want of the millennial. How the ABG group has been very successful in our transformations is itself a story. Let me begin with mine. Since my childhood, I have been a fashion geek and maybe a trendsetter for my small circle. I used to imitate actors and their dressing sense in my real life despite the standards of my life stood nowhere around the celebrities. I always used to wear branded clothes and even now the prominent brands as Allen Solly, Peter England, Pantaloons and People to satisfy my fashion hunger. Who can forget the creative ads of Ultratech cement and whole family watching it together not only to think and build their homes but their dreams. Back in the mid-2000s, it was still a privilege having a cellphone and I remember "Idea" was the first network which fulfilled my dream to connect with my family. Coming to recent times, I have had the fortune to serve ABG's Utkal Alumina as our client when I was working at Ecolab. It was a great experience altogether working closely with intellect people there, the culture and bond we shared and most importantly the clean and green environment which is hard to see in other chemical industries. Be it the fashion or the home or the workplace, ABG has been an integral part and the base on which much of my dreams, needs and wants have been based. On top of personal glory comes the Indianness. Anything for a national cause deserves the respect and ABG has been way ahead here too. ABG has not only saved millions of life and treated patients building a healthy India but also provided schools, mid-day meals and solar lamps to the children, the future of the country. Together with ABG, we foresee a fostering nation with countless fulfilling dreams.
I never had the privilege to be brought up in a metro in a well-educated family or fraternity. Now, when I look back I see all those hurdles and challenges which I overcame to be the one who I am now. Back to childhood days, I was born in a very small town of Bihar with not so sophisticated educational and modern facilities. But that did not divert me to mend my ways. I was very regular in my studies and used to top in my school. The only thing I knew then was that if I don't study I would end up being a small shopkeeper in a small town. Now it has been 11 years after my 10th since when I have been living outside my hometown to pursue my dreams and career options. My parents are the ones whom I call "visionary" and because of their realization of the importance of education, I have come way ahead. But it was not a kick walk for any of us. Times with acute financial issues to unexpected family incidents made the journey rather more difficult. But I never stopped studying and my parents never gave up on me. There were times when even after three years of hard work at Kota, I could not make it to any of the IITs to the times where I had to leave my well-paid job to fulfill my dream of studying in an IIM. These were the times when I had the peak of the societal pressure but I never lost my focus. From a small town shy child who was quite unsocial to a well matured and responsible person, I think every hurdle was itself a lesson for the betterment of my personality and ways. That's my story and I am happy being the author of it.
