On 2nd April, 2019, 35 MBA students from all over the country started their GMC internship, with a lot of questions and some apprehensions, but also, a lot of hope and enthusiasm.
The week-long induction didn't just help us familiarize with the Mahindra philosophy and the business, but also got us closer to each other and helped each one of us understand, even just as interns, the magnitude of impact we can create in the society and how we can contribute in helping everyone rise!
The Group HR did a terrific job in ensuring a smooth and interesting induction week, with a good mix of both fun activities and sessions with the CEOs and CFOs! These interactions with all the Business Heads gave us a lot to think about- not only about our role as interns, but also how we can make the best use of this opportunity to chalk out an exciting and interesting career path for ourselves.
Needless to say, the best experience was when we got the opportunity to interact with Mr. Anand Mahindra at his Gateway Office. It was indeed very humbling and inspiring to see such an extraordinary personality taking out time to interact with us and discuss crucial topics like leadership and the importance of having a purpose in life, something we all will live by throughout our lives.
The entire week was so well planned out and always made us all look forward to going back the next day. The induction week ended with an enriching workshop on design thinking- something we all will be able to implement in our projects as well, and made us more excited and pumped about the 2 months that lay ahead of us!
