The delay started from the clouds. An announcement streamed across the plane and I heard sighs of people in unison. The flight was supposed to land at 6 pm but touched down 40 minutes later. It was my first visit to India. A new country, new people, and a new system to adapt. But how I wish I knew about the system part a little earlier. As soon as I landed in India, I wanted to call my parents to let them know that the apple of their eyes has landed in India safely and he is all set to pursue excellence in the wonderful university he is enrolling in. But there was a problem. No, not a network problem, but a SIM-card problem. I had no SIM card in my phone. How do I call my parents then?  But I considered myself street-smart (until then) so I just went to a SIM card shop nearby. I asked the shopkeeper to give me a SIM card. “Aadhar Card dijiye” were the first three words that came from his mouth. For about 2 minutes I was staring at him trying to make sense of what he just spoke. What is this Aadhar card? Why is he asking me for a card when I need a SIM card? As far as I remembered, I just needed Rs. 200 cash to get a SIM card in Nepal. But apparently that’s not the case here. No longer was I street smart anymore. I panicked. I hadn’t informed my parents regarding my status. I was worried thinking that my parents were worried. So, I asked people randomly to help me get a SIM with their aadhar card. After 20 attempts, one person offered his help to me. He got me an Idea SIM card. After the activation of the SIM card, the first thing I did was I informed my parents. Life was easy after I got a SIM card. I searched for places to eat and I was very happy with the food here at Pune.
Even a simple thing such as a SIM card solves lots of problems. After not being able to access internet and not being able to communicate, I realized how important internet and a strong network is. Now, I have less stress to deal with. For a foreigner, getting a SIM-card is difficult in India. So even the simplest thing such as communication is of great value. My campus is located in hilly area where the mobile network is not available.  Thanks to Idea’s 4G network, I can talk to my loved ones, do my work without any lag. Simplest thing like receiving a mail instantly and being able to reply instantly made my mood better. Even the simplest things can provide exclusive feelings. Basically, Idea’s 4G Network made my life easy and convenient.  So, I now recommend everyone that I know to get an Idea SIM-card. Through my own personal experience, I tell people that they are reliable and reliability is an element that we as customers seek the most.
