It was 14th June, 2018 when I stepped inside the MDI campus. Roaming around the red-brick academic buildings left me mesmerized to the core. The strategically located campus in the heart of corporate hub of NCR, gives one an immense opportunity to learn from the industry leaders, compete and showcase their skills among/to the best minds of the nation.
The first 10 days were about getting inducted and bracing for the challenges/opportunities which were about to come. Soon the classes started and we were loaded with assignments, presentations and quizzes. Also there were sessions being conducted by the prep team, place-com and sometimes incendos too. All these work required one to manage time effectively so as to meet deadlines timely. One thing that I have learnt from MBA life till date is how to manage time between personal and professional lives. The lectures are engaging and demand active class participation. The high quality of students joining MDI has made sure that the environment is competitive and seeks one to be always up on toes in order to perform well. Friendly yet professional environment, with students from diverse backgrounds, has enabled to understand multiple viewpoints and continuous focus on interactions has contributed in honing my soft skills.
Various events being organized here time to time, for eg KOK, teaches us to multitask. One wonderful thing about students here is that they are generally excited about academic as well as co-curricular events being organized on campus. The student-run bodies in MDI, eg. various departments, MART aids us in learning to take initiatives as well as solve real time problems. In short, the ambience at MDI not only helps one to grow professionally but also enables one to become a complete person who knows to maintain a balance between various events of life.
I look forward to learn more and more in time to come and implement my learning properly in all future engagements.
If given an opportunity to work with Aditya Birla Group, I would like to work for Idea Cellular. As a consultant at EY, I have had experience of handling major Telecom clients. And I would like to believe this work experience has helped me get a fair amount of insights of the telecom sector. With the business gainings that I will garner during MBA and learnings of my past work experience, I would thrive to create an impact in marketing roles available at Idea.
