There is no doubt; it is only the destination that matters. However, it is the journey that we will relish over the years to come. At IIM Rohtak, we master the art of doing things differently. Life throws many surprises in our life, and for me, IIM Rohtak is one of them. The dignity of being the only IIM in Delhi-NCR and with people of diverse academic backgrounds, we pride ourselves as a hallmark of inclusivity.
I do not want to guide through the things that will come for sure during KATHOR life. Placements, classrooms, hostels etcetera are part of every IIMs. I will only mention those things, that will better the experience and perception about IIM Rohtak.

- Infrastructure
- The new 200 acres sprawling management city campus, witnessed the new era of development under the dynamic director Prof. Dheeraj Sharma. State-of-the-art infrastructure with world-class accommodation for students, Sunaria campus, is the permanent home of the institute. With Delhi airport only 45 miles away, the campus is strategically located and the only IIM in Delhi-NCR region. With almost all the facilities, students’ run STORE, ATM is available at the Institute’s disposal. Gym, Supermarkets, are easily accessible with the help of shuttle service provided by the institute.
- Vannakam, Namaskara, Namaste
- IIM Rohtak, an institute of national importance, have students from all around the country. Be it festivals of Diwali, Navaratri, Holi or in-campus celebrations such as Cultural Night, Winter Party, War of Sections or the annual management festival, Infusion; there is something or the other going on, to keep you pumped up throughout the year. Mess foods on special occasions are served to celebrate the festival of a community and religious beliefs.
- Chandan Bhai ki Dukan
- The place is the most happening place of the institute. Daily meetings over a cup of special tea (a must try) are regular occurrences at midnight. In case you are upset with mess food, this place comes into rescue every time with its delicious Chicken Kassa and Aloo paratha. Last but not the least, with so many delicacies, don’t forget to try its samosa. You will regret it once you leave the institute, have not tried it.
- Analytics, Analytics and Analytics
- Tailored with utmost care, IIM Rohtak is stepping ahead when it comes to curriculum. Skills in demand, like Data Analytics, Business Analytics are part and parcel of KATHOR life. On top of that IIM Rohtak engage itself in industry standard HR Analytics, Marketing Analytics, Sports Management courses to name few. Not to forget the guidance of the well-qualified faculties and visiting professors, help students in polishing their academic understanding and approach. Case-based teaching pedagogy is the hallmark of IIM Rohtak. The environment for academic research is also something worth mentioning. The institute stands atop in top 5 b schools when it comes to academic research.
- Walk through the heaven
- Bored? Feeling lonely? Come on!! Just get up and go for a run. IIM Rohtak has the best roads within the campus. When you feel down, get ready for a long night walk. The pleasant environment with fully lighted roads, what else do you want? In case you are in IIM Rohtak, do let me know. We will have a long night walk.
- There are so many things which I can mention about the new campus. However, these are the things that make IIM Rohtak unique for the time being. Much more to come and the future batches will have many experiences to relish for lifetime.
- Which ABG company would you want to work for and why?
- I want to work for Aditya Birla Fashion and Retail Limited. I find retail sector very exciting as you will always have to think in Consumer’s shoes. Starting from designing the marketing mix and implementing BCG matrix for different product lines, it always tests the mettle of a marketing manager. Beside that, I have been running my own cloth store in Wooplr. I address the queries from customers and gather insights of their choice. Last but not the least, I find the retail sector very challenging and I love the work, what I am currently doing. It will be an honor for me, to be associated with Aditya Birla Group.
