I come from a sports background so I've learned a lot of leadership skills on the field. I have represented my school and college football teams. T
alking about a specific incident.
Last year during an inter college football match, I was unwell and was sitting out the game. in the first half, there were some mistakes and discoordination in the team and we went down 2-0. As a result, there was lot of finger pointing and blame game during the half time.
Being the vice captain, I decided to come on and even changed my playing position to a more central role. I rallied the team to play as one unit and to give their 100% till the last minute. Later I learned that was the most important thing as some of them were beginning to lose hope and that fighting spirit. I constantly motivated them to aim for the comeback. In the end we managed to draw the game, so it was a great learning experience for me both as a team player and as a leader.
