Kirloskar Institute of Advanced Management Studies recently organized a Fresher’s party for the new students of its PGDM batch. It was a fun filled affair that welcomed the new management aspirants into KIAMS fold and made them feel comfortable in the environment instantly. The theme of the party was ‘Creating a friendly relationship between seniors and juniors in a disciplined manner’ and the events of the evening lived up to the expectations.
The venue was packed with enthusiastic freshers who had brought their zest for life along and it was reflected in the revelries. There were smiles all around as the students mingled with each other and also got an opportunity to interact with the faculty members on a more personal level. Prajakti, one of the students had an important role to play in the proceedings. “I was a part of the anchoring team and it was a fabulous experience right from the word go.”
There was music in the air and laughter reverberated through the venue as games like flying eggs, tap the balloon, musical chair, virtual volley ball were played to the heart’s fill. According to Prof. D. B. Nimbalkar it was great to see the students put their best step forward. “It is a well disciplined Batch 18 and you can already see a lot of unity and dedication amongst them. The best part was to see the teamwork that was on display.”
The camaraderie was there for all to see, whether they were playing games to win bragging rights or setting the dance floor on fire with the dance moves. The DJ had the young ones grooving to Arijit Singh’s mash up and several other numbers till late in the evening. There were solo and group dance performances that also made a lasting impression. As Prof. Atul Panshikar said, “I really enjoyed the dance performances as there was a lot of enthusiasm on the floor.”
It was just the perfect way to show the freshers that they could have a great time at KIAMS even when they did their best to excel as management students. Tarun, one of them said, “It was an awesome party and so much fun to be a part of Pappu dance. It was great to let your hair down and forget the hectic schedule, competition.” All in all it was a memorable freshers day for students who left the venue refreshed and having broken the ice with their batch mates.
