Role of ABG in my Life A person spends a large proportion of his or her total income on home ownership. Buildings represents the changes we are making in our life and strong emotions are associated with it. For a middle class family who spends a large proportion of his or her total income on home ownership, this is one of the most important moment of life. UltraTech Cement Ltd., the largest manufacturer of grey cement, Ready Mix Concrete (RMC) and white cement in India was part of my home making. Why is home so important to us? Because for better or worse, by presence or absence, it is a crucial point of reference - in memory, feeling, and imagination - for inventing the story of ourselves, our life-narrative, for understanding our place in time. UltraTech as a brand embodies 'strength', 'reliability' and 'innovation'. Mumbai’s iconic Sea link is a testament to it. Today ABG is everywhere, be it in fashion, innovation, manufacturing, infrastructure, community or finance and just like in millions out there it plays a significant role in my life too. The longest associations I have had with the Aditya Birla group are through its telecommunication service i.e. Vodafone Idea. Other source of influence has been the clothing brands, especially Louis Philippe which has been a go-to brand for great formal wear. Van Heusen, Louis, Allen Solly has significant presence in my wardrobe. I had purchased my first suit from VANHEUSEN, that strengthens our bond. Aditya Birla Group has made our life simpler with its product and services. Its values – Integrity, Commitment, Passion, Seamlessness and Speed had played a crucial role in the exponential growth of the ABG and in serving its customers. ABG is on right track to achieve its vision “To be a premium global conglomerate with a clear focus on each of the businesses ”

Difficulties Strengthen the mind My journey began from an impoverished home in a small village in Bihar, to an MBA student at IIFT, follows a like pattern. I am privileged to have parents like mine, who supported my education, despite their hardships and financial constraints. My father is a farmer, while my mother, a homemaker. I lived with my parents and sister. I attended government school near my home till class 7 and then changed my school that was about 10 kilometers away. I have seen my father struggling, often taking mid-night trips to ensure everything is okay in the fields.  That’s not what I want. I want to be a manager and rise up the corporate ladder. Transition from Hindi medium school to CBSE based private School was not smooth. As per admission assessment score, teacher advised my parents to enroll me again in class 7. I took this opportunity as a challenge and started working hard to be on par with my classmates. All my hard work paid off in the end, and I secured 5th rank in the class.  After passing class 10 with flying colors, I went to New Delhi to prepare for IIT JEE exam. This could be possible as I had won FTRE scholarship and fee waiver. Here by I entered in the Rat Race. Things started going with flow but as soon as cometh the end of my 11th standard, my interest and concentration started to fade. This started reflecting in my test score and I could not bounce back. As the boards exam were also approaching so I started panicking. Medical problem just before exam made situation worse. Eventually, I could not perform up to expectation in my 12th board and IIT JEE exam. I have done my Electronics and Telecommunication engineering from KIIT university, Bhubaneswar. Learning from my past mistakes, this time I make sure that I don’t lose my concentration.  I was awarded outstanding grade in Mathematics in all 4 semesters. On part time basis I started taking tuitions to earn my pocket money. Apart from that I also participated in various quiz, debate and MUN and Social works, which ensured my holistic development. I did not have any computer background till class 12th. During my B.Tech course, My peers were able to finish up all the assignments while I was struggling to even start . There were also a few people who told me to apply for a branch change, but I worked hard to understand programming and discussed a lot with the faculties about my problems and took help from friends. I started working with Wipro limited just after my college. During Project Readiness training in Wipro, I was awarded 'BIN1' that is reserved for top 10 percentile. I learnt that with passion, perseverance and patience, we can overcome any challenge. I have worked on multiple It projects in BFSI domain. This enticed me towards finance and also I always aspired to be a part of reputed Institute. So, I decided to prepare for 2017 MBA entrance exam. Despite having decent exam score, I could not convert any of my dream colleges. I realized that my overall profile is average and I need to work on my communication and verbal skills. I did work on that and this time I faced every interviews and other selection process confidently. Finally, I made it, I joined my dream college IIFT Delhi.
