India dreams to be a $5 Trillion economy by 2024, whereas I wish to start my own venture in the BFSI sector. As an individual, society we all strive to excel and dream for a better future. No dream is complete without a stimulus. This stimulus is what governs the outcome to extraordinary results. The Big Bang was a stimulus huge enough to create the world we now live in. If I draw a genuine parallel, Aditya Birla Group (ABG) is the undeniable part of the Pyramid of my life. I remember my School days when Recess was the most awaited phenomenon of the day. I used to have the delicious food wrapped in Freshpakk’s and Freshwapp’s packing. Allen Solly, Louis Phillipe, Peter England and Van Heusen have simplified my biggest fashion problems. Yes, I name ADG as my Fashion expert Forever 21 years of my existence. Mutual funds Sahi hai is a campaign reaching all households through several channels. After consulting with investors and analysing myself, I finally settled on Aditya Birla Sun Life Equity Growth Fund. In India, the famous dream is a dream house, which is considered the result of all success. I remember my father achieving that dream with ABG strengthening the structure of our home with Ultratech Cement.
A few snippets of my life are evident enough to substantiate the title of this article and my learnings from ABG. If you have a dream, they have a reality for you.
Everyone faces challenges in their life. One of the bigger challenges is to face the dynamic changes and improving oneself in spite of challenges. After my under graduation, I was in utter confusion as to how should I progress with my career. The choices were numerous which further added to the confusion. I decided to take a break and apply my learnings to practical environment. This would help me grasp a better understanding of real life problems and myself. I worked for 4 months with a Jaipur based NGO Prayas, which working towards educating Under-privileged children. Deep down I always feel that a responsible citizen should be able to give back to the society. This experience made me appreciate the resources I had at my disposal. I invested time in personal health by learning Yoga and including it as a part of my exercise regime. I worked for the next 8 months towards expansion of my Family business on E-Commerce platform. I took the initiative of setting up Portals on Ebay international websites of USA, Australia & UK. In the project, I handled the documentation, tax filings, product listings, customer interaction and marketing campaigns. This helped me a lot in understanding modern day implications of policies followed by business managers. This translated in establishing international business presence of the entity. The management appreciation due to increased customer base and revenue stream was a huge boost of confidence. Eventually I decided to take up the study of Masters In Business Administration from Symbiosis Institute of Business Management. Keeping in times with updating technology, I have taken interest in Bloomberg terminals installed on the campus. I have completed Bloomberg Market Concepts Certification and pursuing R based Data analytics Certification. A vibrant MBA culture gave me the opportunity to take up several leadership roles and widen my perception of thought.
