I would like to relate ABG CSR work and how it inspired me. With an aim to actively contribute to social and economic development of various communities in which they operate and to build a better, sustainable way of life and raise the human development index. I have been influenced by their philosophy of caring and giving which is embedded in Birla faimly. In my graduation days , I was a normal student. I was not aware of any CSR activity and always had a doubt why I should waste my time for these things. But then I came across ABG Hindalco's initiative in
Balrampur, Chattisgarh, through YouTube and read about why it should be done and how it contributes to the society. And that was the day when I used to be clueless and and today when I am writing this I am feeling very proud in sharing with you all that I have contributed to the society by involving myself whenever I got the chance be it by helping poor , organizing donation camps, tree plantation. It gives me a sense of satisfaction when I am involved in these work. I was part of a free health checkup camp where I came across villagers who were in the urgent need of medical help but do to financial constraints they never thought of the treatment. I took help from WHO volunteer and informed them about the Ayushman Bharat Yojana and they got their treatment done. Now I have developed a keen interest in being a part and contribute as much as I can for the betterment of the society. All thanks to ABG!.
I come from a village Dayalpur, which is situated at Delhi-UP border. Although it comes in North-East Delhi, but it is still a backward area, where education and employment are the major issues. I always had the urge that I would go away for study and job because I knew if I had stayed their then I would have found myself in a worse situation. Now the journey "Village to Vizag" started , I got the required marks in my high school that enabled me to take admission in one of the best college in
Delhi. This was the first time when I had to move out from my house. For some time I found it difficult but I had made up my mind if I want to do something in my life then I had to adjust and with all those situations I managed to get placed in the first company that visited the campus. It was a proud moment for me and my family. I was posted in Nagpur and now I was 1000 km away from my home. I was finally employed and well educated but in my mind I knew I didn't wanted things to be like this. So I started preparing for one of the toughest competitive exam CAT. My first attempt at CAT didn't went that well. Preparing while working wasn't that easy but I challenged myself and at last I got what I was aiming for. Finally a selection letter from an IIM.
Today, when I am writing this , it has been 7 years when I left my home for my Journey from Dayalpur to Dwarka to Nagpur to finally in Visakhapatnam. Now when I look back in life I had no regrets and feel very proud of the decisions that I took.
