MBA journey is not as easy as it seems. It is hectic right from the Day1. Not only you have to prepare for your academics but also you have to prepare extra for the summer internships. So, you get very less time for your sleep say on an average 3-4 hours. Now, next day you have to keep your eyes and mind open in the class.
This incident is related to one of the funny incidents happened during the class. In the very first class of Marketing Planning, we were strictly informed by the professor that if anyone dozes off in that class, she/he will have to perform something of 1 minute (preferably dance) in front of the whole class on the song which he chooses. Now, every one of us made sure that no one does the same in his class.
Now, here comes his 2
nd class. He started the class with telling us about the importance of marketing in our lives, Peter’s Principle, ways to achieve Sustainable Competitive Advantage. The session was very interesting and all but one were thoroughly engaged by listening to his real-life situations on the above-mentioned topics. And then came the funny part. The professor caught hold of that one student who was dozing off in the class. The Professor called out the student’s name and he woke up. Everyone in the room knew what was supposed to come next. Meanwhile, the professor explained to us the example he was teaching, he called out the student in the front.
The task was inevitable and he had to perform on one of the songs. Now, rest of the students unanimously suggested one song on which he had to dance for 60 seconds. It was really an embarrassing moment for him. But we all and even the professor pumped him up. It was really a funny moment when he started dancing and after a few seconds everyone burst into laughter. For some time none of us was able to control her/his laughter.
I was actually waiting for this moment to happen because after initial hectic days it was getting tough and tough but it removed all my stress(temporarily). Anyways, life is all about ups and downs. One has to stay positive and cherish these small moments which will make your journey much easier.

I am inclined towards finance and for that, I would like to join Aditya Birla Capital Limited. The rationale behind this that firstly I will get a good exposure to different business aspects in finance wherein I can apply the learnings and knowledge I will gain during my course at MDI. Secondly, it is a privilege to be a part of one of the largest financial services players in India. Also the knowledge which I gained during my job at EXL as a business analyst and working for insurance client will help me fit for roles like Financial Analyst and also I can be a part of Aditya Birla Health Insurance Limited.
