10 days into coming to my dream college. Lots and lots of clothes required. Formals required. Where do I go?
Pantaloons. Nervous, anxious, confused about my decision. How do I talk to my best friend?
Vodafone. Dad’s birthday tomorrow, need a gift. Where do I go?
Planet Fashion. Construction sites everywhere?
Ultratech cement everywhere. These are not just brand names. They have become a part of our lives. We’ve seen Vodafone evolve from message packs to data packs to unlimited voice and data today. We’ve seen pantaloons spreading its web to almost 78 Indian cities with more than a 1000 outlets. When we hear of UltraTech cement- their tagline, “The Engineer’s Choice” runs at the back of our mind. Serving since 1857, Aditya Birla Group has truly become an irreplaceable part of our lives. From clothing to Telecommunication, from cement to chemicals, they’ve got you covered. Apart from its huge business, it is also extremely active in its CSR department contributing to healthcare, education, sustainable livelihood programs and construction business. It has immunized as much as 70 million children from polio. Aditya birla group, not just works for the betterment of the society, but also provides employment opportunities to around 120,000 employees in innumerable fields and departments. Truly and definitely a conglomerate!
I somewhere read "baby girl, you are a warrior, and warriors don't give up". Accepting and incorporating this statement into my life, has probably been the biggest challenge of my life. There are lots of situations where you work really very hard and do not get your desired results. Or situations which practically and ideally you could have handled very easily but you lost your calm and hence lost the situation at hand. Once done and dusted with the situation you now need to deal with the failure that follows. There are many factors that determine how motivated you stay for your next shot at the problem. The biggest factor I’d say is expectations from your own self. My biggest challenge was to accept my failures and move on towards the next attempt. The struggle of accepting the fact that you let yourself down is a tough job to do! I used to get depressed after failures to an extent that I had lost confidence on myself. Eventually, I realized, it’s not always a win-win situation. The practical world has lots of ups and downs, but one needs to stay calm and confident about their efforts. There’s a simple logic behind this - Events come and go, things may turn out to be in your favour and may grab you an award for you to celebrate. But when they don't, you should take it as an experience and start working on it, for the next time you face the same situation-you turn it into a victory! Challenges have always been a motivation for me, but what has kept me going in life has been my never give up attitude. I possibly haven't faced any huge struggles in my life yet, but those little failures have helped me build a strong base for my life, giving me the confidence to deal with any future problems. I firmly believe that strong fundamentals build a strong personality and perhaps, standing tough on those fundamentals has been my biggest challenge and also my biggest achievement so far.
