The one unifying zeal for every student that walks through the gates of IFMR is to have a career that they could one day be proud of. I was no different. As MBA aspirants we all have certain expectations from the one place that could eventually lead us to the job we have had dreams of. It is my opinion that IFMR has indeed lived up to these expectations.
Delivering on the promise of a high standard of education is certainly commendable. The abundance of helpful facilities available to us keeps us focused and occupied at all times. An opportunity to learn and grow is never missed here. Teachers here, apart from making us challenge ourselves, are friendly and help us push through our personal obstacles.
Looking back, when I realised I was finally in IFMR, I set about achieving my next goal. An Internship at the one company I had my eyes set on from the start, the reason I came to this Institution in the first place - Deloitte. It was no mean feat, to be honest. I put to use everything that could help me get where I wanted to.
The long hours at our expansive Library, The clubs and committees that give us confidence and finally the classes themselves. The Lectures trained me for all the Interview rounds. Professors would frequently give pointers as to what could be asked during the technical rounds.
I believe many factors culminate and contribute to a success story. There is only so much an individual can achieve without the impetus of such an Institution. My next goal is to now bag a permanent position at Deloitte and I am very hopeful. Fingers crossed!
