Sustaining the audience is harder than getting the audience! Today’s market, as we all know is not about getting the maximum exposure, but gaining the sustainable advantage.
Being a first-year MBA-HR student, why am I talking about sustainability? Yes, this is what XAHR has taught me in this short span of time. The system based on believes of Jesuit, or to put it in simple terms –peer learning. With multiple domains, specializations and its diverse batch of students, one learns to tackle the ever dynamic organizational landscape. Being a student-driven college, one can be a part of various core/ cultural committees, which according to me is one of the best ways to hone your managerial skills. Working with your friends for me is a real-time experiential learning. Also, it’s a complete 360-degree connection, you have the support from your seniors, faculty members, huge alumni base, ready to guide and motivate you whenever needed.
I have a substantial work experience and personally speaking, the very thought of attending lectures, taking tests, getting back in the academic flow again was a bit overwhelming. But it’s been sometime now at XAHR and I don’t find a grave difference. My regular day at XAHR starts with checking emails, attending lectures which are mostly discussion based followed by various project and committee meetings where most of the interactions are with people of similar age and thoughts.
And at the end of the day, you can always find out some time to rejuvenate yourself thanks to the green and well-planned campus. So to sum it up, every day there is a value addition and a feeling of self-belonging and that is how I connect myself with this institute.
AB group of industries I would like to work for
Personally speaking, I would feel blessed if I get to work with any of the AB group of companies. Aditya Birla Group has played a very important role in shaping the economy of our country.
However, to choose one, I would choose Fashion and Retail. Fashion is a celebration, an expression that can manifests in different ways for different people thus bringing them together. This brought the large fashion brands under one platform catering to different fashion needs of different age groups as well as gender. ABFRL has been founded in the belief that the first sign of the success of a modern nation lies in the ability of its citizens to celebrate. India's young working population and robust economic performance have led to rising incomes which, combined with increasing global exposure, are empowering many latent wants to morph into demands. With retail expanding independently through brick and mortar as well as e-commerce, the Indian fashion consumer now deserves futuristic and comprehensive omnichannel options. ABFRL has brought together the learning and businesses of two renowned Indian fashion icons, Madura Fashion & Lifestyle and Pantaloons Fashion and Retail.
Also, the various community services initiated by ABG is encouraging and liberating. Being a part of such a conglomerate at the end leaves one with the feeling of self-pride, to say the least.
