Being the first among the new IIMs to move to its permanent campus, IIM Udaipur has distinguished itself from other new IIM’s. The sheer overwhelming size of the campus, accompanied by its green surroundings can make anybody awestruck.

For any student in this campus, the sky is the limit. Majority of the activities are student-driven and are encouraged by our director Prof. Janat Shah, a stalwart in the Operations domain. Our college is endowed with a plethora of clubs and committees to choose from – whichever suits an individual’s needs. Be it sports, food, quizzing, music, we have everything for the buffet. Well, we have a club for sarcastic writing as well.

But it should also be taken into account that one should indulge himself in co-curricular activities as well. For that, we have functional clubs like Finomina, Marclan, Skein etc. which deals with various disciplines of the curriculum specifically and organize regular interaction sessions, domain-specific competitions and circulate informative newsletters.

IIM Udaipur emphasises its core value of Inclusion and hence promotes a secular culture where we celebrate all kinds of festivals like Holi, Diwali, Eid, Christmas, Onam etc. The cultural committee of the institute Culcomm makes sure that nobody feels left out during the festivities.

What is an Institute without its own fest? And we have three. One Business Fest, one Cultural Fest and our very own Literature fest as well. How many institutes can boast of having their very own Lit-fest?

 Solaris, the management fest of IIM Udaipur not only gives the students a healthy competitive stage to gauge their competencies against pan-India entries, but also gives them a platform to test their event management skills. It also includes speeches from eminent personalities and stalwarts of the industries in the form of various summits organised by different functional clubs along with the flagship leadership summit.

Audacity, the cultural festival of our college contains an assortment of different events ranging from stretching your vocal chords, to exhibition of rhythm-centred movement of the body. It also includes dramatics, literary competitions and guest performances.

The litfest of the institute Udaipur Leadpday Litfest sees interaction session with various literary personalities of the country such as Ashwin Sanghi, Sumeet Vyas and Hansal Mehta to name a few.

For the foodies, there is an exclusive Food Festival that is presented by and for the students of the college itself. It delves into the depths of satiation of our palettes in a two-day long journey through different cuisines.

All these events are taken care of by different specific clubs and committees while being looked overall by the student body of council affairs.

Apart from these annual events, hostel-wise jubilations, birthday celebrations and periodic hosting of events like karaoke nights, quiz competitions are frequent.

The IIM U journey often makes it more precious than the destination. It not only inculcates a sense of belonging into each and everyone on this voyage, but also helps in the transformation of the participants into a better version of themselves in these two years.

Being interested in retail sales which led me to join a business school, I would like to join Aditya Birla Fashion and Retail Limited as this is a company which can be the perfect platform for anyone willing to go into retail due to its sheer size as well as value. The company is also growing fast and joining this company will give me an opportunity to work closely with people who established some of the biggest fashion brands in the country as well as among those selected fashion brands for whose quality. consumer have good perception.
