Standing tall amidst a vast stretch of land on all sides, far away from the hustle and bustle of the city of Bhubaneshwar, this campus is one of the best places to spend two years of one’s MBA life. It is truly what one can refer to as ‘Home away from home’ because of the family-oriented environment all around.
Hi, this is Sourav Nath and I am talking about the one and only Xavier School of Human Resource Management (XAHR), Xavier University, Bhubaneshwar (XUB). The campus is referred to as ‘Xavier City Campus’ and indeed it truly is no less than a city. Once inside the campus, there can be no distinction between this city and Bhubaneshwar city, excluding the low pollution and noise level at the former. With greenery all around and inside the campus, with a wide variety of flora and fauna within an arm’s length, one feels right in the lap of Mother Nature. The shades of orange and red during sunrise and sunset and the crystal blue sky make it a pristine alternative for staring at apart from the screen of electronic gadgets. But the same can be said about many other campuses as well. Then what is it that makes my campus unique - it is not the tangible aspects but the intangible aspects of this campus environment that makes it unique.
The friendly and approachable faculty, non-faculty staff as well as the seniors make one feel right at home. The campus is like a very big mansion where all the members of the joint family of XAHR stay together. Everyone shares everything with everyone – joy, sorrow, memories and a lot more. A wide array of festivals is celebrated here with great enthusiasm.
Our policy of zero tolerance for ragging is what has made this campus hundred percent Ragging Free. We also have a strong anti-Sexual Harassment policy in place which makes this a women friendly campus. In addition to all these, we also have cute pooches who are there to satisfy all animal lovers.

Which ABG company will I choose and why.
I would love to be a part of any company under the Aditya Birla Group. However, if I have to pick up one, it would be Aditya Birla Fashion and Retail Limited. The reason is that this industry is such that a vast manpower is required to effectively carry out various processes, especially the selling activity where the salespeople hired should be such that they are able to convince people into buying even when they have no intention to. This, in order to be successful, requires good human resource managers and that is exactly what XAHR will help me become.
