My association with the Aditya Birla group has started in my childhood itself unknowingly when my mom used to wrap my food with Freshwrapp aluminium foil to keep the food hot and healthy. Knowingly, it happened when our house was under construction. We suggested ‘X’ cement brand as it was a bit cheaper but the engineer, the supervisor, and even the masons insisted us to use Ultra Tech cement, that much trust it had gained among the players of the construction business and it is priceless. It always thrives to protect that trust, belief, and faith. When it comes to fashion, the way it markets its brand is a lesson for all the b-school marketing students. Managing and marketing multiple fashion brands avoiding cannibalizing is not an easy task. The way how these brands cater to different people according to different situations is extraordinary. Whenever I wear peter England or Vanheusen, I feel confident and Whenever I wear Allen-Solly, I feel superior. My wardrobe always has at least two Peter England or Van Heusen shirts. The first gift I gave to my father after receiving my first salary was a Louis – Phillippe shirt that much I am connected with the Aditya Birla group. Whenever I want to shop casual wear, my legs automatically run towards either PEOPLE or pantaloons, they have a very huge collection of casual wear. The Dhaba where we go after our classes has an Aluminium roofing which is made up of “HINDALCO EVERLAST” belong to the Aditya Birla Group. Now, the Aditya Birla group is present in my life every day. A bike trip to Ladakh is a dream for all the bikers and I am not different from any other biker. The night lights grappled with the darkness to keep our city awake and I was waiting near ISBT bus stand to board a Volvo bus to Manali to start the journey of my life. The next day we reached Manali and the first challenge thrown at me by nature was Acute Mountain Sickness and I had decided to take the next bus to Delhi but the rider inside me was very stubborn and ignored to return. The first day had a lazy start but the hot shower was soothing and rejuvenating. I took the bike given to me and went for a trail ride and that time I did not know that that bike would become a part of the body for the next thirteen days. I was living in a cage built with bars by the fears of my friends and my parents. They tried to stop me from going on this trip and even I was a bit skeptical at the beginning about my journey, “But sometimes you have to take a leap of faith first and the trust part comes later”.  First, I had put faith in the trip crew then the trust on my riding skills automatically came back to me after a few days of riding. This bike ride was not like any other ride that I went on before because here the path was more beautiful than the destination. Every second my eyes were capturing a beautiful painting. Every day, I had to cross so many streams, trenches and mud pits and I had to carefully maneuver through so many boulders protruded from underneath. The trip was a summation of so many right turns, left turns, u-turns, close calls, falls, mud pits, and some near-death situations. The experience of riding at the highest motorable roads in the world cannot be expressed in words. This journey taught me an important lesson and that is - “It is not the number of years that we have lived is important, it’s the life in those years which is counted”.
