How is ABG big in my life

I, Niharesh  Gupta hail from the city in Kolkata which is the financial hub of eastern India. I grew up in a middle class family always aspiring to achieve something worthwhile always getting inspired by how hard my father worked to fulfill his dreams and provide for our family. I still remember the day when we got our first house built ten years ago. He made sure that it was built to last and therefore had it made out of Ultratech cement. Now that I begin to think, ABG has always played a huge role in my life. As I have always lived in a modern city, being presentable has always been very important and with Pantaloons outlets being present throughout the city, this has never been a problem for me. With brands like Allen Solly and Van Heusen, I made sure that I was at the top of my game at affordable prices. As I passed school and went to college, the need for fashionable and good quality clothing increased. Be it quality clothing for attending college or funky and attractive clothing for all the parties, with brands like Louis Phillipe, I was always ready. The city of joy is not so joyful during the summers with all the heat and humidity+ but I was able to beat the heat with the finest quality of fabric which the clothing provides. I still remember the day of my convocation when me and my father had worn suits by Peter England which made me feel so proud and confident on the day. I still cherish the smile on  father’s face when he saw me holding my degree. With me getting into MDI, I was up for another challenge as I was living away from home for the first time in my life but Idea ensured that all my loved ones were just a phone call away which literally had me saying, ‘What an Idea, Sirji’!

A challenge which I faced in life

As a B.Com graduate from one of the most prestigious institutions in India, pursuing an MBA after my under graduation was always the logical step ahead for me and my goal had always been to get into one of the top business schools of the country MDI being one of them. With my goal being crystal clear, I started my CAT preparation in the second year of my college. CAT is one of the toughest examinations of the country and me scoring a 98.85 percentile was a huge achievement for me but the celebrations were soon over with the GDPI dates of colleges being released. This was the last step before I could realise my dream of getting into a top Business school and I decided to go all out to prepare for the GDPI round of MDI which was my best call. On the day of the interview, I was very confident of my preparation but as they say  that things don’t always go your way and the suit which was wore on the day tore after being stuck in a hook. I could see my dreams getting shattered for such a petty reason but thanks to the network of Aditya Birla Group stores, I found a Pantaloons outlet in Camac Street which was very close to the hotel in which the interview was to be conducted. The suit which I bought from the store looked and fitted even better than the original one and the I was able to sail through the interview and get into one  of the most prestigious post graduate programmes of the country for which I will always be thankful to the Aditya Birla Group for launching such a high quality production chain in our country.
