Through its diversified offerings across various business areas , this Telecom to Textile conglomerate has helped in spreading value across different geographies and demographics. Amongst the multitudes of lives that the group has touched , I have been fortunate enough to be one amongst the many .
The fashion vertical of Aditya Birla Group , particularly the branded apparel offerings that it offers vis-a-vis its brick and mortar and online stores has helped in shaping my sartorial tastes. Starting from my childhood to my adolescence , the fast fashion brand of Pantaloons has been a major driving force in inspiring and educating me about the latest fashion trends and designs . Growing up , this brand has helped me understand the intricacies of the latest fashion trends in the market through its different product offerings via its in house brands . Through its value offerings which are priced at affordable rates , it has captured the imagination of one and all including me for years. No wonder the brand deservedly has been voted as "India’s Most Trusted Apparel Brand" on numerous occasions . Also worth mentioning is the contribution Madura Fashion has had in shaping the dynamics of the fashion industry . Through its premium in house brands coupled with exclusive retailing of renowned imported fashion brands , Madura Fashion has encapsulated and enamoured the Indian populace at a macro level . Madura Fashion and Pantaloons together form Aditya Birla Fashion and Retail Ltd. (ABFRL) ,which with a combined revenue to the tune of INR 8200 crore is India’s numero uno fashion lifestyle entity .
How I overcame odds to be where I am today
From a very nascent stage in my life , the thought of going all guns blazing in order to achieve what you aspire to do has been a constant lingering value that has been ingrained in my psyche by my parents . The thought of not giving up at any cost no matter how far reaching the hurdles be , has been an ideal that has been a constant source of inspiration for me . With this mindset , I have faced my shortcomings and always strived towards bettering myself .
Since as long as I can remember , I always had an inclination towards technology and the rapid advancements that technology had been making and how it was impacting lives across the world. With that technical bent , I always aspired for a career in science and technology. However , growing up in the farthest corner of the country in the North Eastern region of India , to harbour such aspirations meant a struggle which seemed tough to achieve given the lack of amenities and avenues which would aid me in realizing my dreams . Also growing up in the later 90s and the early 2000s in Assam meant facing tough roadblocks in terms of the education infrastructure coupled with the lack of technical vocation in my desired area of Computer Science and Software Engineering . However the resolve to not give up constantly inspired me to pursue my dreams of achieving a vocation in my desired field of Computer Science . Through my diligence and incessant toil I persevered to realize my dream by working extra hard to make my dream a reality. And though I might not have blitzkrieged my way into the top IITs , I finally got the opportunity to realize my dream of pursuing my engineering at one of the renowned private engineering colleges in the country .As the old adage goes , “Aim for the moon , if you miss , you may hit a star”. This coinage has perfectly summed up my journey towards achieving the first dream that I ever dreamt in my life.
