As we all know, Aditya Birla is a conglomerate which has a huge variety of product offerings. Be it food and daily needs, fashion or even construction needs, Aditya Birla has everything for everyone.
Peter England has been a name synonymous with every purchase my father made for his office wears and formals; it still holds the same for him even after so many years. MORE has surely made my life simpler, busy hectic schedule for MBA combined with deadlines, traffic and Mumbai rains, it is a sigh of relief to have a one-stop shop for my daily needs and guess what, a free delivery option too. Pantaloons has always been my go to choice for a one stop shop for all the fashion needs.
Since the day I joined MBA, I have had presentations every other day, which meant wearing a blazer and suit seven days a week. And what better than Allen Solly – affordable range of formal wear and innumerable choices. And not just in visible products – UltraTech Cement let you have a good night’s sleep with its trustworthy cement – UltraTech. Lately I’ve also been shopping a lot of casual wear from the brand People, which offers such a wide collection of casual wear.
Also, even after the Jio wave with its own peak and now trough – few loyalists like people from my family are still subscribers of Vodafone – Idea cellular network. Needless to say, Aditya Birla with its wide range of offerings have touched my life in every sphere.
Now let's talk about How I overcame challenges to achieve my ambitions in life so far
Let me tell you a small story…
Mr. Venkatesh Maheshwari, an alumni of Narsee Monjee and the Senior Vice president at
Aditya Birla Group of Companies, has conquered the biggest mountain in the world – Mount Everest.
I was there too.
I was panting. Trekking in -15° Celsius, with effective oxygen level at just 10%, I was struggling to even walk. Reaching the Everest Base Camp still seemed like a distant dream for me, though it was barely 500m away.
After 10 days of trekking, I had to take a call to either go down or to proceed further by risking my life. I chose the latter. You know why?
Because that was something I was really passionate about. I had left my job to travel, yes just to travel. And I couldn’t let it go. So, with utmost difficulty I literally crawled up the mountain, stopping after every 10 seconds, but I made it to the top. There it was, The Everest Base Camp.
I sat there for about 30 minutes, gasping for air, reflecting over my life. At that moment I realized, that no matter how big your task is, if you have the conviction to do it, you will do it. Yes, the path will be tough, but at the end of it, the amount of satisfaction you will get, will take away the pain of the entire process . And you will find a changed version of yourself, which is more confident and has a never-quit attitude.
This was my biggest ambition and no matter what obstacles came in my way, I managed to overcome all of them to achieve my dream. And surely like Mr. Maheshwari, I will conquer Mt. Everest one day!
