A lot can be depicted by the way a man puts on his clothes. And Aditya Birla Group has redefined the fashion world to a premium level. ABG, an Indian multinational conglomerate has its touch in different industries, be it fashion, cement, metals, telecommunication, etc. and we can’t deny the fact that it has helped and provided their service to every soul in this country directly or indirectly.
Flashback to over a decade back, one of premium men’s clothing store of ABG “Louis Philippe” was launched in Dimapur which was the first branded and premium clothing store. I still remember my dad, one fine morning, was so hyped to visit the store as it was a classic men clothing store that had opened in Nagaland newly. There were other show rooms too in the market but this was the first time that a branded clothing stored had arrived. And after couple of days, we gave a visit and we weren't surprised to find that it had stashed all the right kind of trousers and shirts, and suits that my dad was looking for a. It was more like a perfect shopper's stop for all men. And in the subsequent years, Allen Solly and Peter England had also opened its store. Due to ABG’s customer-centric marketing strategy, it had successfully provided the right kind of clothing regardless of age, size and preference. Being from the most eastern part of the country where we are mostly neglected by big brands and companies, ABG has stepped in and reframed the whole fashion scenario with its fine quality and premium clothing. A couple of weeks has gone by since I joined my dream college and I realized that I had to get a suit for myself to which Pantaloons provided me exactly what I was looking for. So, ABG has always been there to provide me and millions of people with fine and quality clothing whenever we needed, be it for college, party, wedding or any occasion wearing.
WINNING OVER SELF
Everyone in this world has a personality which defines him/her. It all falls down to a person’s personality that will decide whether the person would be liked or disdain. As a teenager growing up from a small town, I was a very reserved and introvert person. I could even count the number of people I talked to during my high school and higher secondary days. Being from a lower middle class family, we faced many challenges but the biggest challenge for me was not my studies nor my family’s financial status or any other reasons. It was within myself. It was my introvert personality. Days, weeks, months, years passed by but i didn't change. I was comfort within my small circle with just handful of friends.
But three years back, as I was doing my engineering, I realized that I needed to grow as a person and I can’t live my life the way I was living. And for that I had to come out of my comfort zone. So I decided to engage myself in various events and be a part of it. Although it was nerve breaking at the beginning but as i continued to socialize with people, my nervousness and uncomfortability with others started to diminished and i was getting accustomed to it. I started speaking to strangers and made new friends and my contact-circle started to expand. After 2 years of my resolution i.e last year, I started preparing for the CAT exam as i thought the only way to transform me would be by joining a good b-school. I had this thought that by getting into a good B-school, it will mould me and push me to my limit and help me come out of my comfort zone due to its rigorous and peer to peer learning pedagogy. Fast forward to the present, with only a few days spent here in my new b-school, its already grooming me and polishing me. Though I’m still on the transition phase as I’m still learning and getting new experiences, I believe that by the time i pass out from this prestigious institute, a better version of me will be born. But I still got 2 years to go and until then, I’ll be learning one day at a time.
